Payroll

Reliable payroll reporting for small employers

Payroll needs the right information at the right time, every pay period. IFM can help small employers calculate pay, report to HMRC and keep the regular payment dates visible.

Regular payroll

The normal cycle can include gross-to-net calculations, payslips, statutory deductions and a Full Payment Submission to HMRC on or before payday. The employer remains responsible for supplying authorised, accurate changes before the agreed cut-off.

Starters, leavers and changes

New employees, leaving dates, pay changes, deductions, statutory payments and benefits need to reach the payroll process in time. We agree a clear information deadline for each pay run rather than relying on last-minute messages.

Paying HMRC

PAYE is generally due by the 22nd of the next tax month when paid electronically, or by the 19th for payment by post. Approved quarterly payers use the corresponding quarterly date. We provide the amount and payment reference generated from the payroll records; the employer makes the payment.

Year-end and benefits

The final payroll report, employee documents and any P11D or P11D(b) work need their own timetable. The quote and engagement letter state whether benefits reporting and Class 1A National Insurance calculations are included.

What we need from you

  • Approved hours, salary and variable pay information
  • Starters, leavers and employee detail changes
  • Statutory leave or payment information
  • Benefits and expense details where in scope
  • Enough notice to process and check the run before payday

We agree the payroll software and information process before the first pay run.

Workplace pensions

Payroll information may support pension calculations and uploads, but scheme administration, communications and regulatory responsibilities need a precise agreed scope.

Fees

Fees are quoted on request. The quote states the employee count, pay frequency, included work and charges for additional employees, extra pay runs or year-end work.
